Sissel nasceu em Bergen na Noruega, é a cantora mais conhecida do país e possui uma carreira internacional. Esta cantora pode não ser conhecida por nome no país, mas concerteza você já deve tê-la ouvido cantando em alguma trilha sonora de sucessos do cinema, duvida? Bem ela apesar de não ter cantado a música tema de Titanic em 1997 foi uma das grandes responsáveis pelas faixas que estão incluídas no cd do filme.
